Protein First: Freezer Fudge – T Nation Content – COMMUNITY

Eat Dessert, Stay on Target

Support your physique goals with fudge. No, really. Just make it like this. No oven required.

Freezer fudge is an odd name. We could’ve called these high-protein ice cream bars and cut them into rectangles instead of squares. Whatever you call them, they fit perfectly into the Protein First eating strategy. It’s simple: get enough protein and the rest of your diet autoregulates to support your goals, which are probably to build muscle, lose fat, or stay lean. With 15 grams of protein per square and no added sugar, this recipe will help you get there.

Here’s Dani to show you how to make it:

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Add the cottage cheese to a powerful blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Add MD Protein (Buy at Amazon) and Splenda to the blender and blend again, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Roughly chop the chocolate squares and add to a microwave-safe bowl. Top with the MCT or coconut oil. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and nuke it again until melted.
  4. Add melted chocolate to the blender and fire it up.
  5. Pour into a 9×9 dish lined with parchment paper. The paper makes it easy to remove and cut into squares once frozen.
  6. Freeze for about two hours, allow to soften a bit if needed, cut into squares, and enjoy.

Note: You’ll want to store these in the freezer, but eventually they’ll freeze super hard. Transfer to the fridge to soften for a fudge-like texture, then store the leftovers back in the freezer.
